We love the fact that many newer cars come with cool features to improve safety. This includes features like the rear-mounted backup camera, collision detection, and even the ability for the car to break itself. But shouldn’t everyone have the ability to make their car safer by adding these features if they would like? We certainly think so! And so do the people who have made CarVi. This black-disc camera can be mounted to any car and then paired to your mobile device to make any drive safer.

How It Works

The CarVi is placed behind your car’s rearview mirror. After installing the CarVi’s app on your smartphone, you are ready for action. You can pair your smartphone and CarVi in a few moments. Your CarVi will serve as a camera for your drive. Your every movement on the road will be recorded and monitored. If you are about to hit another vehicle, approaching a car in front of you too rapidly, or making a driving mistake, CarVi will alert you. When you have reached your destination CarVi will actually give you feedback on your driving. It might suggest things to keep you safer next time.

Great For…

This device is great for drivers who want to take their driving skills to the next level when it comes to safety. We highly recommend it if you are trying to earn a safe driver’s reward or rebate from your insurance. It is also the perfect choice for families with teen drivers, or drivers just learning to handle the car. After each drive you can go-over the results of the drive with the person learning the skill. Implementing the suggestions given to you by the CarVi will not just make you a safer driver…it will also make you a better driver!

Stay Tuned for More Updates

Currently, the CarVi is just in the development stages. You can check out their Indiegogo page if you would like to pitch-in with funding. A release date of around August of this year has been set. But if you truly want to see this product in stores or online anytime, soon, feel free to toss them a few dollars. This could seriously come in handy if you are a driver who just loves your current ride, but would love to make your ride safer. CarVi might be the driver education tool of the future.
