Every major racing or sporting event in the world is strictly governed by an autonomous body which has a long set of rules. The UCI or Union Cycliste Internationale is the body that determines the rules of bicycle racing. It is not just Tour de France but every major cycling event in the world is managed by the UCI. Naturally, all cyclists aspiring to race at any one or more of these events will have to adhere to the rules, many of which pertain to the design of the cycle and the features it can have.

fUCI Concept Bike takes those rules and flip them over. The fUCI bike breaks some of the most important or quintessential rules of cycle racing and that is for the best interest of the millions of people in the world who love cycling but would rather do so for speed, with comfort and enjoying some cool features instead of being confined to what they can ride and how.

Designed by Robert Egger, the fUCI concept bike comes with a larger rear wheel, battery powered motor and more features which the UCI will obviously reject but cyclists around the world will love. The rear wheel of the fUCI concept bike is 33.3 inches. There’s a magnetically latched mini cargo compartment wherefrom the brake lights protrude. This compartment can be used for spare tubes or jackets or anything else but relatively small. The fUCI can be hooked with a smart phone, there are onboard sensors and a battery powered motor to provide that initial acceleration. It comes handy as pedaling from a stop or halt with the rear wheel begin heavier and bigger can take some effort.

That motor in the bracket at the bottom has a rechargeable lithium battery. There is a charging stand and a solar panel for off-grid charging. From on road assistance courtesy the onboard sensors to a windscreen, the bike’s unique design to many other rule-breakers, the concept bike truly gives an f to the UCI.
