Air purifiers come in all varieties of shapes and sizes; from small portable units to large, 5 filter systems. The Osgène takes a slightly different approach to air purifiers by mimicking the natural air purifying qualities we see in plants. By using water the Osgène absorbs the CO2 we exhale and returns the O2 that we breathe. Unlike other air purifiers that just eliminate particles and dust the Osgène converts the air to fresh, clean oxygen.

Product Description

Osgène

The Osgène is made up of several different components. An outer silicon cell layer that releases the oxygen produced by the Osgène, a second Carbon Dioxide absorbing layer, an LED lighted screen displaying the perchentage of Carbon Dioxide in the air, and a spot to add water. The Osgène uses the water to convert the air just like a normal plant would. Specifically the Osgène works though its use of carbon dioxide scrubbers and artificial photosynthesisers much like a typical plant would.

Does it work?

While a regular houseplant can purify the air in a similar fashion, the Osgène does so at a much greater volume. Additionally as the Osgène also displays percentage of carbon dioxide in a given room you will know if you are potentially in danger from carbon dioxide over saturation. All of this is possible by keeping the Osgène watered just like a plant. As an added bonus you don’t have to worry about accidently killing the Osgène like other household plants. Let’s face it; houseplants are a nice addition to any room, however, they require a very specific maintenance schedule. Some need certain amounts of sunlight while others can’t be exposed to direct light, some need a lot of water while others barley need a drop. Keeping plants can be a full time job. With the Osgène you get all the benefits of a houseplant without the varying maintenance or dealing with the mess they leave behind.

Conclusion

Overall the Osgène combines all the benefits of a traditional houseplant without any of the hassles. As an air purifier it is in a league of its own. Additionally the Osgène has all the aesthetic appeal of a houseplant unlike other air purifiers that tend to stand out and/or emit annoying buzzing noises. The Osgène is the best of both worlds and all of this with only having to replace the water once in a while. No messy filters to change or have to buy or need for cleaning.
