What Is It?

Not too long ago, two friends decided that the modern e-bike just did not cut it for them. Why not have something cooler? Something that would make others’ heads turn to look? And why not make the electric bike more comfortable to ride? With these two goals in mind, the Chop-E was born. Today a few prototypes of these bikes have been made. They have been driven both on-road and off-road. As you can imagine, they have definitely raised some eyebrows. The Chop-E features a large wheel at the back and a smaller one on the front. The styling is sleek, cool, and modern.

The Backstory

Di and Al are the designers of this bike. On April Fools’ Day they gathered together to talk about a new bike for Di. The (very) rough design that they hashed out that first night was thrown together with things in Di’s living room. But despite that, Al was sure they could make the idea happen. A few pictures were taken to document the idea. Within a few more weeks they had purchased the parts needed to create a prototype. Once one was done, they took it out for a spin around the neighborhood. A new type of e-bike was born.

The Chop-E is being touted as “the coolest electric bike ever built,” by the designers. They are also claiming that this product is not just a bike, but a lifestyle.
